The story behind Doqit
“I felt as though I was drowning in paperwork. Bills, tax returns, pensions, and Chloe’s medical and educational reports. It wasn’t that any one thing was particularly difficult — it was the constant nature of it all. The sheer volume, and the feeling that something, somewhere, was always about to be missed.”
Doqit was born from Founder Catherine Ann’s experience as a working lone parent, managing her daughter Chloe’s rare genetic condition alongside work, home life, and everything that comes with running a household.
Like most people, she wasn’t disorganised. Everything was “somewhere” — emails, folders, drawers, notes, calendars. But nothing was connected. And when something was needed quickly, it was rarely where it should be.
Over time, that fragmentation becomes a problem. Deadlines get missed. Renewals roll over. Things cost more than they should. And the mental load of trying to hold it all together never really switches off.
After years of navigating this, including more than one late tax return, Catherine Ann became convinced there had to be a better way to manage it.
Doqit was built to bring everything into one place - not just to store documents, but to connect them to the things that matter: dates, deadlines, and the moments you actually need them.

After decades working in sales and business development, Catherine Ann experienced first-hand the relentless mental load of managing work, family life, documents, deadlines and daily admin. What began as a personal frustration became the foundation for Doqit — a platform designed to help people regain control of their life admin, reduce stress, and create more space for what matters most. Catherine Ann leads Doqit’s vision, customer insight and category development, with a focus on making modern life feel more manageable.

With more than thirty years’ experience across finance, operations and commercial leadership, Damien brings the structure and operational discipline behind Doqit’s growth. His background combines traditional financial expertise with hands-on experience supporting modern technology businesses. At Doqit, Damien oversees operational strategy, scalability and business infrastructure — helping turn a powerful idea into a trusted platform people can rely on every day.
